MLA Style

What is MLA Style?

MLA stands for Modern Language Association; it is a style of documentation widely used in the humanities’ disciplines, especially in writing on language and literature as well as history and philosophy. Like any style format, it is proposed to establish and maintain consistency and quality in research for users to consult the resources used.

MLA Style Features (Brief):

  1. MLA style uses in-text citations within the text, which direct readers to the full details of the source listed in the alphabetical order in the “References” section related to your work.
  2. References should be listed in alphabetical order.

N.B.: Every in-text citation must have a corresponding entry in the Works Cited page, and every source listed in the Works Cited must be cited at least once in the text.
