Getting started 

• Create your profile here
• Customize your page by adding your photo, affiliation, research interests, CV and contact information. 
• Upload your file and add all paper details (type, title, authors, abstract, etc.)

Academia creates an impact report that includes the number of mentions and views per paper uploaded. Analytics and mentions 

• This is a Premium feature available for 99.00 USD/year and it notifies authors whenever papers uploaded to Academia.edu mention their name.
• Authors can also make these mentions visible to the public.

ResearchGate

You can use ResearchGate to:

• Share your research publications
• Find collaborators
• Access job boards
• Ask and answer questions across disciplines and borders, in real-time
• View the number of reads and citations per each paper uploaded

How to create a ResearchGate profile?

1. Go to researchgate.net and click 'Join for free' and follow the prompts.
2. Add your publications by clicking 'add publications'.
3. Select topics to follow.
