eBooks are subject to copyright law. For this reason, publishers determine how much of a book can be downloaded, printed or copied, using Digital Rights Management (DRM). Examples of DRM access controls:

eBooks at the University of Balamand Libraries
The University of Balamand Libraries provide access to a wide range of eBooks from major publishers, through different platforms. This guide provides an overview of eBooks at UOB, including specific help and tutorials on how to read, download, copy and print eBooks from the various platforms.
UOB users on-campus can access our eBooks from any computer with internet access; users off-campus will need to login with their Balamand email address and password.
Finding eBooks
The primary way to find eBooks through the library's resources is to start with SearchAll, the main library search box.
On the results page, under "REFINE YOUR SEARCH" menu on the right select "eBook Full-Text Online" or under
Book / eBook under "CONTENT TYPE".
Databases with eBooks
The research databases list includes resources with full-text eBooks. The List can be filtered by subject.
Find eBooks in eBook Finder
Use the Journal/eBook Finder tool to search for available eBooks at UOB Libraries. This technique is particularly helpful if you are looking for a specific book title, or to browse eBooks under a specific discipline.
To access this tool, go to the Library's home page, under the Research/Resources menu. Then you can select "e-Books Only" to limit your search to eBooks, as shown below.
